If you hang around long enough you will find that a lot of this site isn’t only about hiking. There is snowshoeing, scrambling and mountaineering to along with it. Growing up in the PNW the outdoors were always a lifestyle. Camping, hiking, fishing and climbing are a part of the culture that I grew up loving.
After fighting through drug addiction in my late teens I needed to find a new outlet for the stress that is life. My quest led me back to the places that I had loved in the past. First I took up hiking, then backpacking then a little scrambling. I worked my way into mountaineering and these days I cannot get enough.
After over 15 years I am proud to say that I transitioned my life. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without these places. Others go to church on Sunday – I go to the mountains.
“Mountains are not Stadiums where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, they are the cathedrals where I practice my religion.”
