Bridal Veil Falls is one of my favorite short hikes to take each year. So naturally when my girlfriend wanted to do a fairly straightforward hike, this one came to my mind instantly. Honestly we couldn’t have chosen a better day to take the walk. The weather report for the day mentioned some clouds, but it didn’t look like it would rain. So we headed out for the trailhead a little late in the morning. I’m not sure what possessed me to think it would be a good idea to arrive at such a popular hike mid-day. The weather today was perfect for the hike to Bridal Veil Falls. With the sun out and temps above 50. The splashing from the falls felt excellent to bask in. I love this area and am always happy to visit. But, the crowds in recent years always make me apprehensive. There were a few people messing around at the top of the trail. One nearly slipped and fell at the bottom of Bridal Veil Falls. I wanted to stay and bask in the view. But, with the horseplay and children running everywhere I chose to retreat and grab a beer at
